There's a brief stage in a steel build when the whole structure is easy to read. At 4102 Orange Street, the open bays, floor joists, temporary stairs, and crane made that moment worth stopping for. We liked how much these three views explain without needing a long caption.
The red upper members pull your eye across the structure, then the smaller details take over: open web joists, partial metal decking, cable guardrails, and temporary access along the exposed floors. With most exterior bays still open, the building's framework is unusually easy to read in these views.
The wider view sets the frame against the site boundary and crane. A lower angle brings the interior scaffold, floor decking, and hanging crane hook into focus. The third catches the boom lift and workers among the upper steel. Together, they preserve a moment that will look very different once the envelope fills in.
City records describe the Downtown Police Headquarters as a three-level, 37,838-square-foot police administration facility at 4102 Orange Street. The same records identify Tilden-Coil Constructors as the approved Construction Manager Multi-Prime.
Steel framing never stays this visually open for long. That's what made these views feel worth keeping.
